The church building is situated in the centre of Bridgnorth, on the historic Cartway, an ancient link between the High and Low Towns. There are stunning views over the River Severn from the window of the downstairs meeting room. The congregation is made up of people from a wide range of backgrounds, and a mixture of ages; there is a small Junior Church which meets every Sunday morning. As a church we are involved in a number of Outreach activities (see the Activities & Outreach page) and church members are constantly looking for ways to expand the involvement. Whether

Since Rev Derrick Lander left Cartway and its associated churches in July 2007, the church has been cared for jointly by Rev David Lavender, Methodist minister and Ecumenical Dean of Telford, and Rev David Cassidy, URC minister and Interim Moderator. We are shortly to have a new minister. Andrew Mann-Ray will be ordained in Bridgnorth on June 21st and takes his first service, a communion service, at Cartway on June 22nd at 10.45am. The whole church is looking forward with enthusiasm to welcoming Andrew to the pastorate in Bridgnorth; he will also have oversight of Madeley Fletcher, Broseley and Much Wenlock Methodist Churches. He is married to Helen, a Methodist Local Preacher. Once installed Andrew will be making his own statement on this website. Watch this space................
